Attributes of God

I fear that I am often too bold.   I often come to prayer with a heart that feels such great access that I lose sight of God’s greatness and majesty.

Do you pray with a focus on who God is?  According to Scripture, we must pray in God's will to have our prayers answered.  To know His will, we must know Him, and to know Him, we must know His Word.  Knowing Him better also reminds us of our helplessness and need for Him.  Recognizing His greatness also helps us believe that our prayers will be answered.

These days, our world and our country seem ever-darkening.   Our constant access to local, national, and global news makes us more aware of the darkness, and it is challenging to keep from fearful of where our world is headed.  How blessed are those who know the power and glory of God’s light that should dispel our fears and give us great hope!

Because of His incomparable nature (in every way), God is justified in His zeal for our full attention and surrender.  Let's worship God because He is jealous!
